For municipalities
One image bank for all of your municipality's photos
Events, road works, council meetings, the town magazine: a municipality takes thousands of photos every year. Fotoarchief.be makes them searchable for every department, without uploading anything again. The originals stay in your own Dropbox, and you see who downloads which photo.

For the communications team, and everyone who asks it for photos
Fewer photo requests for communications
Colleagues from tourism, culture, youth or public works search and download the photos they need themselves. No more digging through folders and emailing files.
Press and partners download themselves
Give journalists, local clubs or a design agency their own account. You decide per user what they may do, and you get an email for every downloaded photo.
You know where every photo goes
The download history shows which user downloaded which photo and when. So you can check afterwards who used a photo, for example when a question about image rights comes in.
How a municipality searches
You search the metadata already in your photos: caption, keywords, place and camera. A few examples:
Christmas market
Every photo of the Christmas market, for the website, social media or the town magazine. The event is in the caption or the keywords.
Sint-Andries
Every photo with a district of your municipality as its place, in the caption or in the keywords.
annual report
The photos your communications team already gave the keyword annual report, ready for the layout.
road works
Before and after photos of public works, for the letter to residents or the municipal website.
Questions from municipalities
What is an image bank for municipalities?
One central, searchable place with all of your municipality's photos, where departments, the press and partners find and download photos themselves. With Fotoarchief.be you don't have to upload anything again: your photos stay in your own Dropbox, and we make them searchable.
Where are our photos and data stored?
The originals stay in your own Dropbox. The search index, thumbnails and previews are stored on servers in the European Union. Fotoarchief.be only gets read access to the folder you choose.
Our photos aren't in Dropbox. Can we still use it?
Today Fotoarchief.be works with Dropbox. Are your photos on a network drive, a NAS, SharePoint or OneDrive? Let us know at info@fotoarchief.be and we'll see what's possible.
Can every department and the press use it?
Yes. You invite colleagues and external users and decide per user what they may do. With the Business plan the number of users is unlimited.
What does it cost a municipality?
You pay for the number of photos in your archive, not for storage. Up to 200,000 photos and 10 users: Pro, €25 a month. Up to 500,000 photos and unlimited users: Business, €50 a month (or €600 a year). All prices excl. VAT. You pay your Dropbox subscription to Dropbox, as you do now.
Can we test it first and get a quote?
Yes. Try Fotoarchief.be free for 30 days with your own photos. Need a quote for your purchasing department or the council? Request one and we'll send you a proposal.
